See the House of Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Theater of Dionnysus, Philopappus Hill, Odeion of Herods, Atticus, The Acropolis, The Parthenon, The Erctheum, Temple of Athena (Wingless Victory), The Forum and The Theseum. | |
| Day 3 ATHENS - DELPHI |
Drive through Thebes, Levadia and Archova to ancient Delphi (Home of the Oracles). Visit the ancient Sanctuary of Apollo and the Museum. Visit the Temple of Opollo where the Oracles held court. Visit the Castalia Spring and the bronze statue "The Chareoteer". | |
| Day 4 ATHENS - CAPE SOUNION |
Drive along the beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, and Varkiza along the Saronic Gulf. Cape Sounion is dominated by the spectacular Temple of Poseidon. Cape Sounion is well noted for its magnificent sunset. | |
| Day 5 ATHENS |
Day at your leisure. There are many optional tours available: Take a cable car to the top of Mt.Lycabettus for a fascinating view of Athens and the Acropolis. Stroll in Plaka at the Flea Market, see the Sound and Lights Show beneath the Acropolis, enjoy a swim along the Saronic Gulf or relax in the popular cafes in Constitution Square. | |
| Day 6 ATHENS - CRUISE |
Morning transfer to board cruise ship. Sail to Hydra with a chance to visit the 300 year old Church of the Dormition of the Virgin. Sail to Poros through the narrow strait between the Island of Poros and the Peloponnesian Coast. Lunch. On to Aegina. An optional tour excursion is offered to the ancient Temple of Athena Aphaia. |  |
