Day 1 Arrive in Accra. You will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 Drive past the State House, visit Independance Square. On to Makola and Accra's biggest market to see thousands of Ghanaian traders buying and selling. Visit the National Museum where Ghanaian culture is told in arts and crafts.
Day 3 Travel along the coast to Elmina, passing through different cultural areas; Ga, Ewe, and Akan people. At Elmina, visit St. George's Castle, the oldest castle on the coast bulit by the Portuguese in 1482. It is historical fact that Columbus spent two nights at the castle on his way to discover America.
Day 4 Drive through interesting villages and towns, pass picturesque forest secnery and view Kwahu Scarpsat Nkawkaw on your way to Kumasi, the capital of the ancient great Asante Kingdom and cutural city of West Africa. Visit Yaa Asantewaa's home, the Queenmother of Ejisu who fought the British Army with valor in the 1900 war. Tour includes Asabte Cultural Center, Kumasi Asantehene and Military Museum.
Day 5 Spend the day exploring the Asante culture villages. Visit Bonwire to see Kente weavers, Ntoso and Ahwia villages to see wood carvers and pottery makers plus Adinkra and fertililty doll speciality. Free time to shop.
Day 6 Return to Acrra.
Day 7 Free day.
Day 8 Depart Accra.
