Upon arrival in Egypt, you will be met by our representative and escorted through customs formalities. Then you will be chauffeured to your hotel and assisted with check-in. |
| Day 3 Cairo |
Visit Memphis, Sakkara, the Pyramids, Sphinx, and Solar Boat Museum. |
| Day 4 Cairo |
Visit the Egyptian Museum, old Jewish, Coptic and Islamic Cairo, the oldest Synagogue of Ben Ezra, Moallaka Church and the Citadel. Tour Khan El Khalili bazaar. |
| Day 5 Cairo/ Nile Cruise |
Arrive Aswan. Optional trip to Abu Simbel temples. Transfer to cruise ship in time for lunch. Sail on a "felucca" around Elephantine Island, Mausoleum of Agha Khan and Kitchener's Botanical Gardens. |
| Day 6 Nile Cruise |
Visit Aswan High Dam. Boat ride to Philae Temple. Stop at the ancient Granite Quarries. Sail to Kom-Ombo and tour the temples. Sail to Edfu. |
| Day 7 Nile Cruise |
Visit the best preserved temple in Egypt - the Temple of Horus at Edfu. Pass Esna lock. Visit Khnum Temple. |
| Day 8 Nile Cruise |
Cross the Nile to visit the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Egypt's only female pharaoh), the Valley of Kings and Queens (where tombs of 65 pharaohs and 57 queens have been discovered - enter some of them). |
| Day 9 Nile Cruise / Cairo |
Your sightseeing begins at the Karnak Temple, where nearly all of the Egyptian pharaohs recorded their names and deeds for posterity. Continue your visit to the Luxor Temple. Upon arrival in Cairo, transfer to your hotel. |

Transfer to the airport. (You may wish to add an 8 day adventure in Kenya to this tour.) |
