| Day 1 Cairo |
Arrive Cairo. Met by our representative and escorted through Cairo Passport and Customs formalities. Then you will be chauffered to your deluxe hotel and assisted with check-in. |

| Day 2 Cairo - Luxor |
Visit Memphis, the capital of the Old Kingdom. See the Alabaster Sphinx and the open-air Museum of Ramses II statue. Proceed to Sakkara, the vast necropolis of ancient Memphis. Fourteen pyramids were constructed here, including the Step Pyramid of Zoser (the world's oldest stone structure) and hundreds of tombs. On the way to visit the Pyramids, stop at an Oriental Carpet Factory. The Pyramids were built between 2600 and 2530 B.C. by Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. The Pyramids are the only surviving monuments of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Visit the Solar Boat Museum and the Sphinx (carved from a single piece of stone). End your day by visiting the Papyrus Institute and bazaars. Transfer to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board. | |
| Day 3 Luxor - Cairo |
Breakfast on board. Arrive Luxor and cross the Nile to visit the Necropolis of Ancient Thebes. Explore the Valleys of the Kings and Queens where tombs of 64 pharaohs and 57 queens have been discovered, and enter some of these most important tombs. Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon, visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor, and the famous Avenue of the Sphinx. The Temple of Karnak took over 1500 years to build and is considered the world's largest religious complex. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo; transfer to your deluxe hotel. | |
| Day 4 Cairo |
Visit the Egyptian Museum. This building houses more ancient treasures than anywhere on the planet! Continue to Old Jewish, Christian and Islamic Cairo. Visit the El Moallaka Church, the site where the virgin Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus took refuge. Next to the St. Barbara Church is the 9th century Synagogue of Ben Ezra (supposedly built over the site where the baby Moses was found in the bulrushes.) On to the famous Citadel of Salah El-Din. This 13th century fortress houses among other buildings the famous Alabaster Mosque. End the day by a visit to the Khan-El-Khalili Bazaars. | |
| Day 5 | Depart Cairo for your next adventure. Please let us know if you would like to extend your stay in Luxor to visit other fascinating sites such as: Luxor Museum, Dandara, Abydos, Madinet Habu or Ramesum. |
