TEL AVIV-JAFFA-CAESAREA-HAIFA-ACRE. Tour Tel Aviv and Jaffa. Drive to Caesarea to see excavations of Roman statues; the aqueduct; the Roman theater. Proceed to Acre to visit its medieval fortifications and old Crusader stronghold. Overnight in Nahariya. |

GALILEE-TIBERIAS-NAZARETH. Today begins at Nazareth's Basilica of the Annunciation and Joseph's workshop, then via Cana to Tiberias and boating on the Sea of Galilee. See the ancient synagogue from the Second Temple period at Capernaum. Then to Tabgha, site of the Miracle of Multiplication of the loaves and fish. Ascend the summit of the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Proceed to the Golan Heights in upper Galilee, and dinner and lodging at Kibbutz. Overnight in Galilee. |

YARDENIT-BEIT SHEAN-JORDAN VALLEY-JERUSALEM. Tour of Kibbutz. Then explore the old synagogues and the artists' colony at Safad. On to Yardenit where the Jordan River flows into the Sea of Galilee, a few meters from the place Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. At Beit Shean, see excavations of its former Roman city and the best-preserved Roman amphitheater in Israel. Drive through the Jordan Valley, past Jericho, and to Jerusalem for brief orientation tour. Overnight in Jerusalem. |
| Day 5 |
MASADA-DEAD SEA. Drive to Ma'ale Adumin and the Good Samaritan Inn. Descend through the Jordan Desert to the Dead Sea. Then to Herod's fortress at Masada, and cable car ride to tour its summit. Finally, a chance (time and weather permitting) to float upon the buoyant Dead Sea. Overnight in Jerusalem. |

NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM-BETHLEHEM. Gaze upon the Dead Sea scrolls at the Israel Museum's Shrine of the Book. Next is the Holocaust memorial. See the Hadassah Medical Center's famed Chagall stained-glass windows in Ein Karem, and the scale model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. Visit Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd's Field. Return to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem. |
| Day 7 |
OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM. Drive to Mount Scopus to enjoy an overview of Jerusalem. Then visit Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, and the Basilica of the Agony. Walking tour of the newly restored Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall, and Temple Mount with its Dome of the Rock. Stroll the Via Dolorosa, along the way of the cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. At Mount Zion, see the traditional tomb of King David; the Last Supper room; the Dormition Abbey. Day ends along the promenade of the Cardo and the bazaar. Overnight in Jerusalem. |
